Manchester Burger King worker shot during dispute with customer, police say

A Burger King employee was shot Monday, Oct. 19, during a dispute with a customer at the restaurant on Expressway Drive in Manchester, police said.

Officers responded after an emergency call and found the adult male employee with an apparent gunshot wound to his abdomen. Emergency personnel treated him at the scene and took him to Unity Hospital. Police said his condition was not known as of their latest update, but he was expected to survive.

Investigators said an argument began after an interaction involving a male and a female customer. The disagreement between the male customer and the employee turned physical, and the employee was shot, police said.

The two customers left the restaurant but were later found at the Southern Inn and interviewed by officers. Police said a suspect was in custody. The shooting remains under investigation, and authorities said there was no active threat to the public.
