Banana Bowl championship set for Nashville’s new Nissan Stadium in 2027
Nashville will host the Banana Ball Championship League’s title game on Sept. 25, 2027, at the new Nissan Stadium. Organizers say ticket lottery registration is open, with other presale details to come.
Nashville is scheduled to host the Banana Ball Championship League’s Banana Bowl on Sept. 25, 2027, at the new Nissan Stadium, bringing the fast-growing baseball entertainment league’s championship game to the city.
Two Banana Ball teams will compete, according to the Nashville Convention and Visitors Corp. The organization’s president and CEO, Deana Ivey, said the event is expected to draw fans from around the country and add to Nashville’s slate of sports and entertainment events.
The stadium’s operator is also anticipating a return engagement. The current Nissan Stadium hosted a Savannah Bananas game against the Party Animals on May 10, 2025. Organizers said that matchup drew 70,000 fans and made the venue the second NFL stadium to host a Savannah Bananas game.
Chelsea Lipocky, the Tennessee Titans’ head of stadium revenue, said the teams’ performances make for a show and that the new stadium would suit the championship event.
Fans interested in tickets can join the Banana Ball ticket lottery list. Organizers have not yet announced other presale opportunities.
The new Nissan Stadium is scheduled to be completed in February 2027, with major events and concerts expected to begin in April. More event announcements are anticipated in the coming months.
