Wisconsin governor candidates face voters’ top concerns in Oct. 21 debate

MILWAUKEE — Democratic candidate David Crowley and Republican candidate Tom Tiffany are facing off in a debate hosted by WISN 12 on Oct. 21, the only debate between the candidates seeking to become Wisconsin’s next governor, according to the station’s announcement.

The debate is taking place at the Lubar Center in Marquette University Law School’s Eckstein Hall, without an in-person audience. WISN 12 political director Matt Smith and “UPFRONT” co-host Gerron Jordan are moderating.

The scheduled topics include the cost of living, taxes, immigration enforcement, data centers and election security. The debate is part of the station’s Commitment 2026 coverage.

Wisconsin’s general election is Nov. 3. The debate gives voters a chance to hear the candidates address issues affecting household budgets, public policy and the state’s election process before they cast ballots.
