A soggy weekend brought more than 2 inches of rain to parts of southeast Wisconsin, with Kenosha recording the region’s highest total, according to the National Weather Service. Kenosha received 2.11 inches between 8 a.m. Saturday and 8 a.m. Sunday. Janesville recorded 1.79 inches, followed by Racine with 1.78 inches and Elkhorn with 1.77 inches. Other reported totals included: • Waukesha: 1.55 inches • Jefferson: 1.55 inches • Monroe: 1.36 inches • Milwaukee: 1.24 inches • Darlington: 1.09 inches • Portage: 1.03 inches • Madison: 0.70 inches • Dodgeville: 0.66 inches • Wisconsin Dells: 0.57 inches • Beaver Dam: 0.51 inches • West Bend: 0.42 inches • Port Washington: 0.28 inches • Montello: 0.26 inches • Berlin: 0.26 inches • Fond du Lac: 0.21 inches • Sheboygan: 0.12 inches Some showers were expected to linger into Sunday afternoon, but forecasters said conditions would turn dry by evening. The rainfall followed a weekend forecast that called for wet weather across much of southern Wisconsin, with the heaviest totals concentrated inland and toward the state’s southern border.
