At least 12 people were injured in a shooting near Florida A&M University in Tallahassee on Saturday, as the campus marked homecoming weekend, authorities said. Six of the injured were children.

Tallahassee police said an initial investigation found that a fight broke out before the shooting in a crowded area following a football game. Eleven people suffered gunshot wounds, and at least three victims were seriously injured, according to police.

Police Chief Lawrence Revell said no arrests had been made. Investigators had not announced a suspect or a motive in the information released Saturday.
