Derrick Van Orden and congressional candidate Rebecca Cooke are calling for additional review of proposed high-voltage transmission line projects that could cross southwestern Wisconsin. Van Orden, a Republican who represents Wisconsin’s 3rd Congressional District, has asked the project’s developers to consider alternative routes for a transmission line that would run through the region. Cooke, a Democrat challenging Van Orden, has also called for more scrutiny of the proposed projects.
