Madison opens 21 early-voting sites ahead of Nov. 3 election
In-person absentee voting runs Oct. 20-31 at libraries, community centers, UW-Madison sites and other locations across the city. Voters need an acceptable ID to receive a ballot; people who still need to register should bring proof of address.
Madison voters can cast in-person absentee ballots at sites around the city through Oct. 31, with weekday, weekend and limited Sunday hours available at different locations.
Voting began Tuesday, Oct. 20, two weeks before Election Day on Nov. 3. Hours and dates vary by site, so voters should check the schedule before heading out. The Mt. Zion Church location at 2019 Fisher St. is closed because of construction.
Voters must show an ID to receive an absentee ballot. People who are not registered can register at an absentee-voting location through Friday, Oct. 30, and should bring proof of address. Sample ballots are available through the state’s MyVote Wisconsin website.
