MADISON, Wis. — Wisconsin Attorney General Josh Kaul will face a familiar challenger in November: Eric Toney, the Fond du Lac County district attorney who is seeking to unseat him. Toney joined a local television station earlier this week for his first sit-down interview with the station since announcing his campaign. The conversation comes as the election draws closer and attention turns to the contest for the state’s top law-enforcement office. Kaul, a Democrat, is seeking another term as attorney general. Toney currently serves as Fond du Lac County district attorney. The November race will give Wisconsin voters a choice between the incumbent attorney general and a county prosecutor seeking to take over the statewide office.
