Two Madison juveniles arrested in shooting and robbery of 15-year-old
Two juveniles have been arrested in connection with the shooting and robbery of a 15-year-old in Madison, police said Wednesday. The teen told police he was shot and robbed earlier Tuesday near North Fourth Street and East Dayton Street. He continued his school day without telling anyone about the injury, police said. After he later told his family, they took him to a hospital. Police were called to the hospital at about 8 p.m. Tuesday after the teen arrived with a gunshot wound. His injuries were not considered life-threatening. Investigators believe the victim and the suspect knew one another and that the incident was targeted, according to police. The department said one juvenile was arrested on suspicion of armed robbery and the other on suspicion of possessing a dangerous weapon while under 18. Police have not released their names. The department’s Violent Crime Unit is investigating. Anyone with information can contact Madison Area Crime Stoppers at 608-266-6014 or submit a tip at p3tips.com.
