Missing Madison man found dead at Penn Park; police say death is not suspicious
A 62-year-old man reported missing Wednesday night was found dead Thursday evening at Penn Park on Madison’s south side. Police said they do not believe the death was suspicious and that there is no ongoing threat to the public.
MADISON, Wis. — Madison police are investigating after a 62-year-old man who had been reported missing was found dead Thursday evening at Penn Park.
Officers responded after someone reported seeing a body in bushes near the park, located in the 2100 block of Fisher Street on Madison’s south side. Police identified the person as the missing man, who had been reported missing the previous night.
The Madison Police Department said it does not believe the death was suspicious. Police also said there is no threat to the public.
No additional information about the man’s identity, the circumstances of his death or the investigation was immediately released.
