Armelle Bondonga expected home within 48 hours after ICE detention

Louisville youth leader Armelle Bondonga is expected to leave ICE detention by Oct. 8, according to attorney Sadiqa Reynolds. Bondonga was taken into custody Aug. 12 during a marriage-based green card interview.

Louisville youth leader Armelle Bondonga is expected to be released from U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement detention within 48 hours, attorney Sadiqa Reynolds said Oct. 6. In an Instagram post, Reynolds said Bondonga would “be home with her husband and child in less than 48 hours.” That would put her expected return home by Oct. 8. The post did not provide further details about the release. Bondonga was taken into ICE custody Aug. 12 during a marriage-based green card interview. No additional information about her immigration case was provided.
