Inspirada ranks No. 1 among Nevada elementary schools, leads charter middle schools
U.S. News & World Report placed Pinecrest Academy of Nevada’s Inspirada campus first among Nevada elementary schools and charter middle schools in its 2027 rankings. It also ranked second among all middle schools statewide, extending the Henderson campus’s strong showing from last year.
Pinecrest Academy of Nevada’s Inspirada campus earned the top spot among Nevada elementary schools and charter middle schools in U.S. News & World Report’s 2027 rankings, released Oct. 20.
The Henderson campus also ranked second among all middle schools in the state. It was the top-ranked elementary charter school and the top overall elementary school in last year’s rankings, as well.
The new rankings cover schools at the state and district levels, rather than assigning national placements. U.S. News evaluated standardized state test performance in reading and math, considering both overall results and performance in the context of students’ socioeconomic factors.
“By incorporating direct state data across all proficiency levels, the 2027 rankings offer a richer, more complete picture of how elementary and middle schools are driving student growth,” Eric Brooks, U.S. News’ director of education data analysis, said in a statement.
The top 10 lists were dominated by Southern Nevada schools. Billy & Rosemary Vassiliadis Elementary School was the highest-ranked Clark County School District elementary school, placing third statewide. Sig Rogich Middle School led CCSD middle schools and ranked fifth overall.
In the overall elementary rankings, Caughlin Ranch Elementary in Washoe County placed second, followed by Vassiliadis. Among middle schools, Washoe County’s Mount Rose K-8 Academy of Languages ranked first overall, ahead of Inspirada.
The rankings offer families another comparison point for Nevada schools, though they reflect test results and the factors included in U.S. News’ methodology rather than a complete picture of each school’s programs or student experience.
