A 66-year-old man died Saturday evening after he was struck by a Dodge Durango while crossing East Desert Inn Avenue near South Mojave Road, according to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department. The collision occurred at about 6:50 p.m. The man was crossing outside a marked crosswalk, police said. He was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead. The Durango’s driver remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators. Police said impairment is not suspected. The death was the 97th traffic-related fatality in Metro’s jurisdiction in 2026.
