Marshall Faulk says hand stiffness and tremors led to Parkinson’s diagnosis
The former Colts and Rams running back said he first noticed stiffness while playing golf, followed by small tremors. Faulk described Parkinson’s as something he lives with.
Former NFL running back Marshall Faulk has disclosed that he has Parkinson’s disease, saying hand stiffness and small tremors prompted him to seek medical care.
Faulk said the first sign was difficulty gripping a golf club because of rigidity in his hands. He initially suspected arthritis and went to a doctor, who diagnosed Parkinson’s. The diagnosis was reported Oct. 24, 2026; Faulk did not specify when he received it.
“It's something you live with,” Faulk said, adding that there are “far worse things.”
Faulk played for the Indianapolis Colts and St. Louis Rams during his NFL career.
