Hamstring injuries sideline Nesmith and McConnell for Pacers’ opener
Indiana will open its regular season Wednesday in New Orleans without starting small forward Aaron Nesmith and backup point guard T.J. McConnell. Both are dealing with hamstring strains.
The Indiana Pacers will be without two rotation players when they open the regular season Wednesday, Oct. 21, on the road against the New Orleans Pelicans.
Starting small forward Aaron Nesmith is out with a strain in his left hamstring. Backup point guard T.J. McConnell will also miss the game with a strain in his right hamstring.
Their absences leave Indiana without its starting small forward and a reserve guard for the season opener. The Pacers begin the season away from home against New Orleans.
