Two juveniles were arrested after a stolen sedan crashed into a Lawrence home early Monday, Oct. 19, following a police pursuit, according to the Lawrence Police Department.
An officer spotted the speeding car near 46th Street and Shadeland Avenue at about 1:15 a.m. and tried to stop it, police said. The sedan continued south on Shadeland Avenue, then turned east onto 34th Street. Police ended the pursuit, but the vehicle drove into a house moments later.
The two juveniles in the car were taken to a nearby hospital with minor injuries. The person inside the home was not injured, police said. The sedan had been reported stolen nearby.
Both juveniles were arrested and charged with auto theft and resisting law enforcement. Police said the driver had been arrested on an auto-theft allegation earlier this month.
