An 18-year-old man died early Sunday after being shot at an Arlington apartment complex, police said. He was taken to a gas station in Fort Worth, where he died before officers could identify a suspect.
Arlington police responded at 2:54 a.m. to the complex in the 3100 block of East Park Row Drive after a resident reported hearing what sounded like gunfire nearby.
Fort Worth police later told Arlington officers they had found the wounded man at a gas station in the 6600 block of Brentwood Stair Road. A witness with him said the shooting happened at the Arlington complex. The witness was not hurt and has been cooperating with investigators, police said.
Arlington officers returned to the complex and found several shell casings in the parking lot. No arrests had been made, and detectives were working to establish what happened and identify the shooter.
