Three people were seriously injured in a multi-vehicle crash Tuesday morning on Highway 51 near Providence Road in south Charlotte, according to Mecklenburg EMS Agency (MEDIC). The crash happened near the Arboretum. An aerial view of the scene was reported around 11:15 a.m. Southbound lanes of Highway 51 were closed after the collision and had reopened by 11:45 a.m. No further details about the people injured or the cause of the crash were immediately available.
