Charlotte-area trick-or-treaters likely to get dry, mild Halloween evening

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — The Charlotte region is expected to warm up by Halloween after a brief dip in temperatures this week, with a dry Saturday evening forecast for trick-or-treating, according to a forecast issued Tuesday, Oct. 27.

Tuesday morning lows were expected to fall into the low and mid-40s, followed by afternoon highs in the mid- to upper 70s. A passing disturbance could bring more clouds and slightly cooler weather Wednesday, when highs were forecast in the low to mid-70s. Temperatures were then expected to rebound into the mid- to upper 70s Thursday and Friday.

The forecast called for dry conditions through the work and school week. On Saturday, Oct. 31, temperatures were expected to start in the mid-50s and reach the mid-70s during the afternoon. Clouds may increase ahead of another weather disturbance, but rain was expected to stay away through trick-or-treating, with evening temperatures easing into the 60s.

Rain chances were forecast to return Sunday and continue into Monday, though timing and amounts remained uncertain. The forecast may change as Halloween approaches, particularly for the Sunday system.
