CATS Gold Line to pause service through early Monday for maintenance

Charlotte’s Gold Line is out of service from 2 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 24, until 4 a.m. Monday, Oct. 26, while crews perform scheduled fall maintenance. CATS will not provide a replacement bus, but nearby bus routes remain available; the Blue Line is operating on its regular weekend schedule.

CATS Gold Line to pause service through early Monday for maintenance

Charlotte Area Transit System suspended Gold Line service at 2 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 24, for scheduled fall rail maintenance, with service expected to resume at 4 a.m. Monday, Oct. 26.

The work spans the Gold Line route and requires full road closures between French Street and the I-77 overpass, as well as additional lane closures along the line. CATS said the closures prevent it from operating a bus bridge during the shutdown.

Passengers traveling along the Gold Line corridor can use existing nearby CATS bus routes to reach their destinations. The Blue Line continues to operate on its regular weekend schedule.
