A 2-year-old girl died Wednesday night after being hit by a vehicle on Bellingham Street in Chelsea. Police said the driver remained at the scene and is cooperating as investigators determine what happened.
A 2-year-old girl died Wednesday night after being struck by a vehicle on Bellingham Street in Chelsea, police said.
Officers responded at about 9:50 p.m. and treated the child at the scene before she was taken to CHA Everett Hospital, where she died from her injuries.
The driver stayed at the scene and is cooperating with police. The cause of the crash remains under investigation. Authorities had not released further details by Wednesday night.
