Jackson returns to Ravens practice ahead of Sunday’s home game with Cincinnati
Lamar Jackson took part in limited practice Wednesday and Thursday, offering a possible path back after missing two games with an ankle injury. Baltimore has not confirmed whether its quarterback will play against the Bengals.
OWINGS MILLS, Md. — Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson returned to limited practice this week as the team prepares to host the Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday, Oct. 25. Jackson has missed the past two games with an ankle injury, and his availability remains a day-by-day decision.
Jackson was hurt during Baltimore’s Week 4 win over Tennessee and had not practiced since. He jogged onto the field Thursday, joined teammates and took part in drills. Coach Minter said Wednesday that Jackson had done some limited work in preparation, while emphasizing that the quarterback’s status would be assessed one day at a time.
“Anytime he’s out on the field, it makes your team that much better,” right tackle Roger Rosengarten said. He also praised backup “Snoop,” saying the stand-in had done a good job, and said it was good to have Jackson back in the huddle calling plays.
The Ravens are 1-1 in Jackson’s absence, including a loss at Cleveland last weekend. His return would give Baltimore another option at quarterback for a divisional matchup, but the limited sessions do not guarantee he will play Sunday.
