San Marcos police are investigating a homicide after officers responding to a report of a suspicious death found evidence indicating the person died as a result of a homicide. Officers were called at about 5:40 p.m. Monday, Sept. 21, to the 600 block of CM Allen Parkway, according to the San Marcos Police Department. Investigators have detained a person of interest in connection with the case. Police have not announced an arrest or criminal charges. They also have not released the victim’s identity or details about how the death occurred. The investigation remains active as detectives work to determine what led to the death and whether additional action is warranted.
