President Donald Trump is scheduled to hold a campaign rally Saturday at the Guardian Center in Perry, where he is expected to speak in support of Republican candidates ahead of Georgia’s November midterm election.
The event at 600 Perry Parkway is set to begin at 5:30 p.m., with Trump’s remarks expected at 7 p.m. Country musician Jason Aldean and Rick Jackson, a Republican candidate for Georgia governor, are also expected to attend.
The rally comes just over a week after Trump appeared at an event in Dalton. Georgia is nearing the final stretch of early voting for the midterms, making the Perry stop part of a period of increased campaign activity in the state.
