Georgia governor candidates to take questions from undecided voters in Oct. 6 town hall
Georgia’s two major-party gubernatorial nominees, Republican Rick Jackson and Democrat Keisha Lance Bottoms, are scheduled to appear together Tuesday, Oct. 6, for a televised town hall debate centered on questions from undecided voters. The event is set to begin at 8 p.m. and is expected to be the candidates’ only debate. Organizers say voters will ask the candidates directly about issues affecting their communities. A live political program is scheduled to begin at 7:30 p.m., followed by post-debate analysis at 9 p.m. The debate will air on WANF, Channel 46, in metro Atlanta and north Georgia, as well as on Gray Media stations serving Savannah, Macon, Augusta, Albany and Columbus. It will also be available to stream live and on demand through station platforms. With voters asking the questions, the town hall offers Georgians an opportunity to hear the nominees address concerns in their own words as the race for governor advances.
