DeKalb schedules six free sessions on voting ahead of Nov. 3 election
DeKalb County election officials will hold voter-education town halls at libraries and senior centers Oct. 13-21. Residents can get guidance on registration, voting options, polling places and possible runoff procedures.
DeKalb County’s Voter Registration and Elections office will hold six free, nonpartisan town halls this month to help residents prepare for the Nov. 3 general election.
The Know Before You Vote sessions will cover how to check registration, vote early or by mail, meet voter ID requirements, find polling places and access assistance. Officials will also explain how to verify election information and prepare for a potential runoff. Each meeting starts at 5:30 p.m.
“Voting with confidence starts with having clear, reliable information,” said Keisha L. Smith, executive director of DeKalb Voter Registration and Elections. She said the sessions are intended to help residents prepare for the November election and any possible runoff.
