Woman and toddler found fatally shot in car at Cobb County church
Cobb County police found a woman and a 2-year-old child dead in a car near Milford Baptist Church on Sunday morning. Investigators said no suspects were outstanding; the victims’ identities and the circumstances of the shooting had not been released.
A woman and her 2-year-old daughter were found shot to death in a car near Milford Baptist Church in Cobb County on Sunday morning, police said.
Officers were called to the church, on Milford Church Road, at about 10:45 a.m. Both people were pronounced dead at the scene. Their identities had not been released as of Monday, Oct. 26.
Police have not said what led to the shooting or whether the deaths were connected to the church. Investigators said there were no outstanding suspects.
The discovery came shortly before the church’s scheduled 11 a.m. Sunday service, according to its website. Authorities have not released further information about the investigation.
