A man was shot aboard a MARTA bus Thursday evening in DeKalb County, and one person was detained in connection with the shooting, police said. Police were called at about 7:04 p.m. to the area of Covington Highway and Panola Road. The bus was traveling on MARTA Route 115. Preliminary information indicates an altercation happened before the shooting, police said. The injured man was taken to Grady Memorial Hospital. His condition was not known. The investigation is ongoing. Police have not released further details about the detained person or the circumstances leading to the shooting.
