Everett officers responded around 2 a.m. to reports of gunfire in the 2300 block of Broadway, near El Muchacho Alegre. Police spokesperson Natalie Given said officers found that a large fight had occurred in the restaurant’s parking lot. No one was shot, and officers did not recover a gun.
During the incident, a person believed to be male took a patron’s car and drove away, striking six people, according to police. The people identified by police included four men in their 20s and one man in his 30s.
Three people were taken to Providence Regional Medical Center and one to Harborview Medical Center, police said Sunday morning. The driver crashed about a block from the restaurant, then ran away on foot. A police dog was used in an unsuccessful attempt to track the driver, and detectives are continuing to investigate.
