Two older adults die after overnight blaze in Monte Sereno
Two older adults died after firefighters rescued them from a burning two-story home on Rose Court early Wednesday. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
Two older adults died after a house fire in Monte Sereno early Wednesday, Santa Clara County fire officials said.
Firefighters were sent at about 2 a.m. to a reported structure fire in the 17000 block of Rose Court. When crews arrived, flames were coming through the roof of the two-story home. Firefighters searched the house and rescued the two adults.
A second alarm brought the response to 10 fire apparatus and about 40 personnel. Both adults were taken by ambulance to Valley Medical Center, where they later died from their injuries, officials said.
The Santa Clara County Fire Department is investigating the cause with assistance from other local agencies.
