McNary instructional assistant denies 10 child-abuse-related felony counts
A McNary High School instructional assistant pleaded not guilty Friday to 10 counts of first-degree encouraging child sexual abuse, according to Marion County Circuit Court records. Jeremy Braden Williams, 29, was arrested Sept. 3 after a months-long investigation by Keizer police. Investigators said a report to the Internet Crimes Against Children Data System’s CyberTipline led them to Williams. Police arrested him at his Keizer home and booked him into the Marion County Correctional Facility. The indictment alleges that Williams duplicated sexually explicit videos involving minors multiple times between late December 2025 and late July 2026. The allegations have not been proven in court, and Williams has pleaded not guilty. Williams worked as an instructional assistant at McNary High School. Salem-Keizer Public Schools said he was placed on leave before the school year began and was not working with students after the district learned of the investigation. The district also said it did not know whether the allegations involved students and declined to comment further while the investigation was active. The district said children’s safety and well-being were its top priority and that it takes allegations of employee misconduct seriously. Williams is scheduled for another court hearing Nov. 24.
