Phoenix residents invited to weigh in on proposed I-10 corridor changes

ADOT will hold in-person and online meetings in November about possible changes to I-10 between the Deck Park Tunnel and the I-10/I-17 split. The agency is studying ramp connections and lane configurations as it prepares an environmental assessment and design report.

Phoenix residents invited to weigh in on proposed I-10 corridor changes

Phoenix residents will have two opportunities in November to comment on potential changes to a busy stretch of Interstate 10 between the Deck Park Tunnel and the I-10/I-17 split interchange.

The Arizona Department of Transportation is evaluating options intended to address congestion and safety along the corridor. Its work includes an Environmental Assessment and Design Concept Report examining possible changes to freeway ramp connections and lane configurations.

The first public meeting is scheduled for Thursday, Nov. 5, at Garfield Elementary School, 811 N. 13th St. Doors open at 5:30 p.m.; a presentation begins at 6 p.m., followed by an open house from 6:30 to 7 p.m.

A virtual meeting will take place Monday, Nov. 9, from 6 to 7 p.m. Advance registration is required through ADOT’s project webpage. Both meetings will start with a presentation, with time afterward for questions and public comments. Spanish interpretation will be available at each session.

ADOT says meeting materials and a recording will be posted on the project website by Nov. 4 for people who cannot attend.
