Philadelphia’s 10-site ‘No Kings: Vote Early’ effort will connect voters with election resources

Philadelphia residents will be able to get help navigating the November midterm elections at 10 “No Kings: Vote Early” gatherings planned across the city on Saturday, Oct. 17. Organizers say the events begin at 10 a.m. and are part of a nationwide day of action focused on voter turnout and election protection.

The gatherings will offer help checking voter-registration status, locating polling places and ballot drop boxes, arranging rides to the polls and connecting with voter-protection networks. The events are planned at City Hall and nine of Philadelphia’s 10 satellite election offices.

Pennsylvania’s deadline to register to vote is Monday, Oct. 19. The general election is Nov. 3.

City Commissioners Chair Omar Sabir said residents can request a mail ballot online or visit one of the city’s satellite election offices, located in each City Council district. Voters who go to an office can return their completed ballot there or use one of the city’s 34 drop boxes, he said.

“Mail ballots make it easier to vote on your own time, and make sure your voice is heard,” Sabir said.

The listed event locations are:

- City Hall, 1400 John F. Kennedy Blvd. - 1619 Grant Ave. - 1835 S. Broad St. - 2301 N. Broad St. - 2739 N. 5th St. - 4029 Market St. - 5301 Chew Ave. - 6100 Woodland Ave. - 6233 N. Broad St. - 6420 Frankford Ave.
