Pennsylvania House honors Kada Scott with Nov. 18 observance

HARRISBURG, Pa. — The Pennsylvania House voted 202-1 on Wednesday to designate Nov. 18 as Kada Scott Day, honoring the Philadelphia woman whose body was found in Germantown after she disappeared in October 2025.

Scott’s family attended the vote. The resolution recognizes her memory; the House action does not establish a public holiday.

Scott was reported missing on Oct. 4, 2025. Her body was found about two weeks later in a shallow grave in Germantown. Keon King has been charged with her murder and is awaiting trial. The charge is an allegation, and King is presumed innocent unless proven guilty.

The resolution, House Resolution 657, was adopted by the state House. Its text is available through the Pennsylvania General Assembly.
