Reading police add two suspects in disappearance of Lebanon County man
Josiah Vaux, 23, and Luke Foxx, 21, are charged with second-degree murder and kidnapping in the case of Michael Petrino Jr., who has been missing since March. Eight people now face charges as investigators continue searching for answers.
Two more men have been charged in the disappearance of Michael Petrino Jr., a 23-year-old Lebanon County resident who was reported missing in March and is presumed dead, Reading police said.
Josiah Vaux, 23, and Luke Foxx, 21, face charges of second-degree murder and kidnapping. Their arrests bring to eight the number of people charged in the case, which also involves three juveniles and adults Gerson Caicedo, Jazmeire Brockington and Khalil Nein. Authorities announced charges against those five in June.
Petrino’s family reported him missing in late March. His Jeep Compass was found abandoned days later. Investigators believe he was lured to the area of Second and Oley streets in Reading, assaulted and then taken away.
Authorities have also been told that Petrino had ongoing disputes with several people in Berks County and that a bounty was allegedly placed on him. Those allegations have not been established in court.
Reading police say the investigation remains active. Anyone with information about Petrino’s whereabouts or the case can call the department at 610-655-6116. Anonymous tips can be submitted to Crime Alert Berks County at 1-877-373-9913.
