Police seek 20-year-old in fatal shooting at Kensington lounge
Philadelphia police are seeking Steven Velez-Cruz in connection with a shooting near Vari Bar & Lounge that killed Louis Soto and wounded four others. Investigators say Velez-Cruz is considered armed and dangerous and urge the public not to approach him.
Philadelphia police are asking for the public’s help locating Steven Velez-Cruz, 20, who is wanted in connection with a fatal shooting at Vari Bar & Lounge in Kensington.
The shooting occurred at about 4:15 a.m. Monday, Oct. 19, according to police. Louis Soto, 34, was killed. Four other people — two men and two women — were taken to a hospital and reported in stable condition.
Police consider Velez-Cruz armed and dangerous. Anyone who sees him should not approach him and should contact police, officials said.
