Milwaukee opens 14 ballot drop boxes ahead of Nov. 3 election
Milwaukee voters can return absentee ballots at 14 secure drop boxes beginning Sept. 21, with boxes closing at 6 p.m. on Election Day. Ballots can also be delivered to Central Count at the Italian Community Center on Nov. 3.
Milwaukee’s 14 secure ballot drop boxes are scheduled to open at noon Sept. 21 and remain available until 6 p.m. on Election Day, Nov. 3, according to the city’s voting information flyer.
The boxes are located at 13 library branches and the Zeidler Municipal Building. On Election Day, absentee ballots will also be accepted from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. at Central Count, located at the Italian Community Center, 631 E. Chicago St.
The drop-box locations are:
- Good Hope Library, 7715 W. Good Hope Road
- Villard Square Library, 5190 N. 35th St.
- Capitol Library, 3969 N. 74th St.
- Atkinson Library, 1960 W. Atkinson Ave.
- Martin Luther King Library, 2901 N. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Drive
- Center Street Library, 2727 W. Fond du Lac Ave.
- Washington Park Library, 2121 N. Sherman Blvd.
- East Library, 2320 N. Cramer St.
- Zeidler Municipal Building, 830 N. Market St.
- Central Library – Centennial Hall, 733 N. 8th St.
- Mitchell Street Library, 906 W. Historic Mitchell St.
- Bay View Library, 2566 S. Kinnickinnic Ave.
- Zablocki Library, 3501 W. Oklahoma Ave.
- Tippecanoe Library, 3912 S. Howell Ave.
The city flyer gives specific placement details for each box, such as whether it is beside a library entrance or along a nearby sidewalk. Voters can find further election information at city.milwaukee.gov/election.
