Harris urges Milwaukee voters to back Crowley in final week of Wisconsin governor’s race
Former Vice President Kamala Harris campaigned in Milwaukee for Democrat David Crowley, making the race a choice about pushing back against the Trump administration. Republican Tom Tiffany criticized the visit during a campaign stop in Racine.
MILWAUKEE — Former Vice President Kamala Harris campaigned Monday for Democratic gubernatorial candidate David Crowley, urging Wisconsin voters to support him as the Nov. 3 election approaches.
Harris framed the contest as a choice between Crowley and the policies of the Trump administration. “In this election, Wisconsin has a very clear choice and the choice is David Crowley,” she said.
The visit came eight days before Election Day, as Crowley and Republican candidate Tom Tiffany made campaign stops around the state.
Tiffany addressed Harris’ appearance during a bus tour stop in Racine, describing it as “Kamala Monday” and arguing that Democrats were trying to boost turnout because Crowley lacked voter enthusiasm.
The two candidates’ final-week campaigning comes as Wisconsin voters prepare to choose the state’s next governor on Nov. 3.
