WEST BARABOO, Wis. — Two Baraboo residents were arrested after investigators linked them to multiple burglaries at a West Baraboo business over the past month, according to the Sauk County Sheriff’s Office. The burglaries involved the theft of computer equipment, authorities said. Detectives obtained a search warrant for a residence on West Maple Street and recovered much of the property reported stolen. The search also helped investigators identify an 18-year-old and a 21-year-old, both Baraboo residents, as suspects, the Sheriff’s Office said. The cases will be referred to the Sauk County District Attorney’s Office for charging decisions. The 18-year-old is being referred on two counts of burglary of a building and theft of movable property valued at more than $2,500. The 21-year-old is expected to face burglary and theft allegations as a party to a crime. Neither person had been formally charged in court at the time of the announcement. The Sheriff’s Office did not release their names.
