Veterans can receive free dental exams and X-rays at Madison College’s Truax Campus on Nov. 7. Registration starts at 9 a.m., and services are limited to the first 50 people.
Madison College will offer free dental exams and X-rays to veterans on Nov. 7 at its Dental Clinic on the Truax Campus in Madison.
The third annual Give Veterans a Smile event runs from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Services will be provided on a first-come, first-served basis to a maximum of 50 veterans. Registration begins at 9 a.m., and the college advises attendees to arrive early.
Veterans may also arrange free dental cleanings with dental hygiene students for a later date. Some participants could qualify for no-cost restorative care from volunteer dentists working with dental assistant students, depending on their needs.
The event is intended to ease barriers to oral health care, including gaps in insurance coverage and high out-of-pocket costs. Madison College Dental Clinic director Dr. Adina Ness said the program reflects the college’s commitment to community service and access to essential oral health care.
The clinic also provides low-cost dental hygiene services to the broader community. Details about its services are available on the Madison College Dental Clinic webpage.
