Ballard, Fern Creek sideline 26 players after Oct. 1 game-ending fight
Twenty-six players from two Louisville high school football teams received one-game suspensions after a fight ended their Oct. 1 matchup. Ballard suspended 14 players and Fern Creek suspended 12, athletic directors said.
Twenty-six football players from Ballard and Fern Creek high schools have been suspended for one game after a fight brought their Oct. 1 game to an end.
Ballard Athletics Director Jared Baker confirmed that 14 Bruins were suspended. Fern Creek Athletics Director Troy Johnson said 12 Tigers received the same penalty.
The suspensions were confirmed Oct. 7. No further details about the fight or the timing of the players’ suspensions were provided.
