Louisville transit fares waived for Election Day, including TARC3 rides
TARC will make its regular routes and TARC3 paratransit service free for Jefferson County voters on Tuesday, Nov. 3. The service will follow normal weekday schedules as Kentucky polls open from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.
LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Jefferson County residents can ride TARC’s regular buses and TARC3 paratransit service without paying fares on General Election Day, Tuesday, Nov. 3.
The transit agency said services will run on their usual weekday schedules. The free rides are intended to reduce transportation barriers for people traveling to vote.
Jefferson County Clerk David Yates, who chairs the Board of Elections, said access to transportation should not prevent residents from casting ballots. He thanked TARC for providing the free service.
Kentucky polling places will be open from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Election Day.
