Hodgenville Road Dollar General proposal pulled before Hardin County hearing
A proposed Dollar General at 2305 Hodgenville Road in Elizabethtown is no longer moving forward after developer Rafferty Development withdrew its request to change the property’s zoning, Hardin County officials said Tuesday, Oct. 13. The site is zoned for residential development. Rafferty had sought C-1 zoning, which would allow retail use, according to the Hardin County Planning and Development Commission. The commission said it was notified of the withdrawal Tuesday. The proposal was then removed from the commission’s meeting agenda, and no public comment will be taken on the request. The meeting remained open to the public, but officials said no hearings were scheduled. The county did not say why Rafferty withdrew the request. The developer operates Dollar General stores in Kentucky and Indiana.
