Nevada dashboard tracks mail ballots, turnout and signature fixes ahead of Nov. 3

Nevada voters can use a new state dashboard to follow mail-ballot returns, signature cures and in-person turnout by county and party. As of Thursday afternoon, officials had received 176,253 of the more than 2 million ballots mailed statewide.

Nevada’s secretary of state launched a public dashboard Thursday to track voting activity ahead of the Nov. 3 general election, including mail ballots sent and returned, in-person turnout and ballots requiring signature verification.

The Visual Interface for Voter Information and Data, known as VIVID, breaks down figures by county and political party. It also tracks how many returned ballots have been accepted, how many still need to be cured because of missing or mismatched signatures, and how many have been resolved.

As of 2 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 22, county election officials had mailed 2,081,305 ballots statewide and received 176,253, according to the dashboard. Of the ballots received, 173,068 had been accepted and 2,249 needed to be cured.

The dashboard also reports daily in-person early-voting totals and county-level early and Election Day turnout. Nevada Secretary of State Cisco Aguilar said transparency helps build trust in elections.

Early voting began Oct. 17 and continues through Oct. 30. Polls are scheduled to be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Election Day, Nov. 3.

Mail ballots must be postmarked by Election Day and received by county election officials no later than Nov. 7 to count. Voters can register or update their registration online or in person during early voting and on Election Day. They can also use the state’s ballot-tracking service to check the status of a mailed ballot.

The dashboard gives voters a statewide view of ballot processing and turnout while counties handle returns and signature verification. Its figures are updated during the election period, allowing voters to see how participation changes as voting continues.
