Jaguars face extended absence for starting left tackle Anton Harrison
Jacksonville will be without Anton Harrison for Sunday’s game against Houston while he undergoes arthroscopic surgery on his right knee. His recovery could take weeks or months, depending on what doctors find.
Jaguars left tackle Anton Harrison will have arthroscopic surgery on his right knee after being injured in Jacksonville’s 19-17 win over Philadelphia in London on Sunday, the team said Tuesday. He will miss multiple games, and the length of his absence will depend on the results of the procedure.
Harrison will not play Sunday against the Houston Texans at Wembley Stadium. Walker Little, who has started 39 games over six seasons with Jacksonville, is expected to take his place.
Harrison was hurt early in the third quarter against the Eagles at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. He planted his right leg while turning to block, twisted his knee and was later taken by cart to the locker room. He underwent tests Monday.
“It was a weird play,” coach Liam Coen said. Harrison was attempting a turnback block when, Coen said, his knee “tweaked on him a little bit.”
The 26th pick in the 2023 NFL draft, Harrison has started 53 games for Jacksonville. He moved from right tackle to left tackle this season as the Jaguars sought to improve their running game, which ranks 14th in the league after finishing 20th in 2025. Jacksonville is 4-1; Houston is 1-4.
The injury is the team’s first major one this season. Long snapper Ross Matiscik also hurt his right shoulder against Philadelphia, and veteran Jacob Bobenmoyer has been brought in to fill the role. Bobenmoyer flew to London Monday.
