An 18-year-old Jacksonville man died Monday evening when the motorcycle he was riding collided with an SUV at Heckscher and Milton drives in North Jacksonville, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
The crash happened at about 5:38 p.m. The motorcyclist was heading west on Heckscher Drive when he entered the eastbound lane and passed several vehicles in a no-passing zone, FHP said.
The SUV, driven by a 54-year-old Bradenton woman, was also traveling west ahead of the motorcycle. As she turned left onto Milton Drive, the motorcycle’s front struck the SUV’s left rear, the agency said.
