Patmos Church plans soft launch at Noblesville event center
C.J. Johnson, dismissed from Carmel-based Northview Church in June, planned Sunday soft-launch services for a new congregation at The Mill Top Event Center. Northview elders previously cited concerns about his leadership style and interpersonal conduct.
A former Northview Church pastor is starting a new congregation in Noblesville, with soft-launch services for Patmos Church planned for Sunday at The Mill Top Event Center.
C.J. Johnson was dismissed from the Carmel-based megachurch in June following allegations of misconduct. At the time, Northview elders said they had concerns about his leadership style and interpersonal conduct. The specific allegations were not detailed in the available statements.
In a statement last week, Northview elders said the church remained committed to its mission and was “moving forward.” Johnson’s plans for Patmos Church were shared on his Instagram account. He was contacted for comment about the new congregation.
The planned services mark a new chapter for Johnson in the Hamilton County community after his departure from Northview, which is based in Carmel.
