Adams County sheriff’s deputies were involved in a shooting Monday morning near 96th Avenue and Interstate 76, prompting road closures in the area. The sheriff’s office closed 96th Avenue at Brighton Road, the westbound I-76 off-ramp and the I-76 frontage road between 88th and 104th avenues. The closure also includes 96th Avenue east of I-76 at the roundabout. Deputies urged people to stay away. The circumstances of the shooting, including whether anyone was injured, were not immediately clear.
