Dallas Police Arrest 54-Year-Old Man in Fatal Stabbing of Woman on North Akard Street
A woman was fatally stabbed late Friday night in the 2300 block of North Akard Street, and Dallas police have charged 54-year-old Jimmy Spurger Jr. with murder. The investigation is ongoing.
Dallas police have arrested a 54-year-old man in connection with the fatal stabbing of a woman late Friday night in the 2300 block of North Akard Street.
Officers responded to a crisis intervention call at approximately 11:13 p.m., according to police. Preliminary findings indicate that a woman was stabbed by a suspect she knew.
Dallas Fire-Rescue transported the woman to a hospital, where she died from her injuries.
Jimmy Spurger Jr. was taken into custody and charged with murder, police said.
The homicide investigation remains active. Authorities have not released the victim's name or additional details about the circumstances leading up to the stabbing.
