Voters who normally cast ballots at Barack Community Center will instead go to Lincoln Park Elementary School after tornado damage forced the center to close. Franklin County election officials say affected voters should receive notices around Oct. 19.

South Side voters reassigned to Lincoln Park Elementary for November election
COLUMBUS, Ohio — Voters assigned to Barack Community Center will cast their ballots at Lincoln Park Elementary School in November while repairs continue at the storm-damaged South Side facility, the Franklin County Board of Elections says. The temporary polling place is at 579 E. Markison Ave., across the park from the community center. Officials plan to mail affected voters notices of the change around Oct. 19. Barack Community Center has been closed since a tornado struck the area last month, tearing off part of the building’s roof. Repair work has begun, with completion targeted for spring. Voters who usually use the center should check their mailed notice for confirmation of their polling location before heading to the polls.
